Amelie’s name came from a female character in a game I recently played, who was always wearing a red dress. Since Amelie is very red, and very soulful (“Ame” means “soul” in French, apparently), it seemed like the perfect name for her.

Amelie is a fantastic character, very brave and friendly, despite the fact that her siblings and mother are still fairly shy. She pretty much pee pad trained herself instantly, and she is very quick to learn. Amelie and the rest of her family were rescued from nearby a Haidian subway station when the lovely lady who had been feeding them noticed that two of the siblings had been killed by someone. We immediately got a team out there and scooped up the whole family. Amelie loves playing with her siblings, and is sure to be a fun-loving addition to her lucky adopters’ home.
